007 Our story

From a Georgetown shop to Highway 183

TG Welding is a full-service steel fabrication shop on Highway 183 in Liberty Hill. Commercial contractors and builders use us for the steel package so their crews can stay on the rest of the job.

TG Welding started in Georgetown under owner and operator Tim Giebelhaus. As the work grew, more of it came from Liberty Hill and the Highway 183 corridor, so the shop moved to meet it.

We build to your drawings, finish on schedule and stand behind the work.

What areas does TG Welding serve?

TG Welding works across Central Texas from our shop at 3850 N. Highway 183 in Liberty Hill. Our core service area is Liberty Hill, Georgetown, Leander, Cedar Park, Bertram, Burnet, Marble Falls and Northwest Austin. Jobs farther out are worth a call to the shop at (512) 548-5401.

Do you offer mobile welding on site?

Yes. Our fully equipped welding rig comes to your job site, ranch or shop for repairs, fence and gate work, hitches and field welding on steel buildings and structural steel. Anything that can be built on a table is fabricated in our Liberty Hill bay, then set on site by our crew.

What should I send to get a welding or fabrication quote?

Send drawings, a sketch or a photo of the job, the site address, the scope and the date you need it. Add quantities for production runs and any engineered drawings for structural work. Email tim@tgweldingatx.com or use the quote form, and we reply with a written number.

How fast can I get a quote and a finished job?

Quotes come back in writing in days, not weeks or months. Finished job timing depends on size, scope and material, so tell us the date you need it up front. When you issue the PO, we confirm the schedule in writing so your crew can plan around it.

How does a steel building project work?

Send the plans, the site and your date. We reply with a written quote that spells out the scope. Once you issue a PO, we fabricate the frame in our Liberty Hill bay. Then our crew sets it on your slab and closes it in with sheeting, roof and any covered porches.

Do I need a permit or an engineer for steel work?

It depends on what you are building and where. Steel buildings, carports, pavilions and structural beams often need a permit, and some need engineered drawings. Rules differ by city and county, so check with your local building department first. Send any engineered drawings and we build to them.

What materials does TG Welding work with?

Mostly steel: red-iron building frames, W-beams, columns, pipe, tube, plate and flat bar, plus cable rail and wire fence panels. We pair steel with wood on cedar fences and slat-wall pergolas, and our CNC plasma table cuts plate parts and signs. Ask about other metals when you send the job.

Do you take commercial work and production runs?

Yes. Commercial contractors and builders send us multi-phase steel packages and repeat production runs on written PO. We are TG Welding LLC, carry $2M general liability with a COI on request, and take ACH or check. The contractor packet has everything your AP team needs.
